French Academy Fourth of July Recap

July 5, 2019

Language: French

Location: Saint Michael’s College

What the French Academy did today: Greetings from the French Academy! Yesterday, students had abbreviated class and CE times for the holiday. For lunch, the Academies held a patriotic BBQ on the Quad complete with burgers, chicken, veggie burgers, watermelon, and tons of dessert! After lunch, it was time to head over to the soccer fields for a fun pool party. Students had tons of fun with water guns and water balloons and played soccer, volleyball, and football.

After dinner in the cafeteria and call home time, the Academies loaded up 8 buses and caravanned to Essex Junction for fireworks! It was a relaxed language night, so students were allowed to speak English with each other. With a live band, bounce houses, maple cotton candy, pizza, ice cream, strawberry shortcakes (and of course a fantastic fireworks display) students had a great time enjoying the holiday and each others company. Today, the French Academy is on a field trip to Branbury State Park. Pictures to follow tomorrow!
