Spanish Students Visit Middlebury College!

Today, students from the Spanish Academy took a trip north to visit the campus of Middlebury College! We enjoyed a Flamenco performance and toured the beautiful Middlebury campus. An afternoon thunderstorm sent students to the Field House for some hoops and hanging out, but the skies cleared and allowed us to enjoy an outdoor dinner and pick-up soccer before heading back to campus.

Another Happy Day in Québec!

It started with a display of delicious food brought by our team leaders.  We had French croissants, chocolate croissants (chocolatines in Québec), crêpes, strawberries, coffee, melon, cherry tomatoes, blueberries, brie and chèvre cheeses, fresh baguettes, chocolate… It was a feast.

In the afternoon, students were exposed to another kind of feast: Montmorency Waterfalls, pure beauty of nature.  They dominate the landscape, 83 meters high (30 meters higher than Niagara Falls).  We are so lucky to be so close to these unique sites.

Food week in Québéc!

This week will undoubtedly be everybody’s favorite: it’s food week!!!!! After their food shopping for the 4th of July dinner yesterday, students went to an open market today. A questionnaire in hand, students asked merchants questions in French while discovering Québécois delicacies. To name a few, our lucky students had French crêpes with maple syrup, bio sausages, ice cream dipped in chocolate... It was a tasty afternoon.

Lunch in Québéc

At lunch today, other educators were celebrating Québécois culture with music. While their students were quiet, MIL students took over with enthusiasm.

In the Classroom

How can you perform the best CPR? By following the Beatles’ song, obladi oblada, in rhythm. One day, this week, we talked about health so, it was à propos to discuss saving lives and tools taught by CPR trainers. The use of music is one of them—here are some photos from that day!
