Meet the faculty and staff of our Spanish Academy abroad in Granada, Spain.

Alejandro Saravia, Program Director

Alejandro joined the Language Academy team in 2011, serving as a Spanish teacher at the Green Mountain College campus. Captivated by the whole experience, he returned the following two years, first as a teacher and then as the Assistant Language Director on that Campus. The next summer he was part of the first Academy held in Spain (Comillas, 2014) as the Residential Life Director. He returned to Spain (Granada 2015) as one of the teachers. Alejandro is now the Program Director for the Granada-2016 Academy. He is a Spanish teacher at St Paul’s School, a fully residential school in Concord, NH and has been teaching Spanish for the past 15 years.

A native from Mexico, he holds a BS in Chemistry from the National University of México, an MBA from ITESM-CCM (México), a MA in School Counseling, from Western Kentucky University, and a PhD in Educational Leadership from University of Louisville. Working at the Academy has been one of the most rewarding aspects of his long career in education.
