Middlebury Interactive Speaker Series
Middlebury Interactive will hold quarterly workshops focused on language learning, linguistics and digital education. Topics will include research on world language pedagogy, public education policy and practical teaching applications. Lunch will be provided.
Middlebury Interactive’s headquarters grand opening served as the inaugural event of the Speaker Series. Our Chief Learning Officer and Associate Vice President of the Language Schools at Middlebury College, Aline Germain-Rutherford, presented and led a discussion on making the digital transition in education. Amy Shen, Middlebury Interactive’s Director of Curriculum and Instruction, gave a full Chinese immersion lesson to demonstrate the principles of Middlebury immersion methodology. To end the session Aline and Amy led a group discussion on immersion methodology and its implementation in both traditional classroom and digital settings.
