Wie geht’s? First Classes at the German Academy!
Location: Saint Michael’s College
What the German Academy did today: Today, students took a crash course in introductory German and refreshed on what they knew from classes back home. At lunch, the kids could be seen testing out new vocabulary over a yummy lunch of lasagna, garlic bread, and assorted vegetables! A few even showed off some of the dance moves that they learned during Evening Activity time yesterday, where they listened to songs like “Das Rote Pfherd” and “Das Kleine Küken Piept!”
After lunch, the students relaxed during free time and then participated in fun activities like basketball and bath-bomb creation. This evening, they’ll play classic board games in-language and bond over evening snack time. It’s awesome to see them all settle in, form connections, and communicate!
