Mont Saint Michel
Don't forget our Call Home Time Wednesday from 8:30 to 10pm French time.
Bonjour de Nantes!
Another heat wave has hit Nantes today and we are using it as an opportunity to organize water fights on campus.
We had the loveliest weekend, with Saturday spent visiting the Mont Saint Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in 709, the mont and its monastery revealed their mysteries to our students. They explored the shops and restaurants, before learning the incredible history of the site and taking plenty of pictures.
We spent the afternoon in Saint Malo, a lovely fortified city in Brittany, where we all feasted on ice cream and live music.
On Sunday our students enjoyed some free time downtown as well as sports activities on campus.
Today, they headed to their second to last language class in the morning before enjoying a West Indies inspired lunch, in anticipation of our guest speaker of the night, Dr. Christian Kittery, who will talk about the French overseas territories. After lunch, our students met with their language teachers to talk about they learn and discuss their progress, before meeting with the RAs to play sports or do some gardening around campus.
