What the Nantes Academy did today:

Today started a little bittersweet, as we all feel the end of the program arriving. Students are both excited to be home soon and don’t want to leave their friends at the Academy. The Morning Assembly was fun, with one of the class groups singing about their experience at the Academy. They wrote the song together with their teacher, as a summary of their lives here and as a thank you. We all got very emotional.

The students were then divided into two groups: one going downtown to follow the art walk and the other staying on campus to retake the Stamp test they had to take prior to their arrival. We switched the groups in the afternoon.

Yesterday was the last day of language classes and they all had a “goûter” with their teachers, eating fresh pastries from the local bakery and chatting in French with an ease that is amazing to witness. Later this afternoon they will join various activities, from sports to painting and bracelet making before heading to dinner.

A dance party will follow dinner. With all the French music they have been exposed to, the whole Nantes team would like to apologize for you having to listen to it all day long very soon too. ☺
