What the German Academy learned today:
Over the weekend, SMC held our annual Field Day. The Spanish and French Academies came to our campus and we had a huge day of competitions including; frisbee, dodge-ball, soccer, drawing, sudoku, hula hoop, tag, tug-of-war, and a team dance off. There was an outdoor potluck followed by the closing ceremonies.
The Spanish Academy ended up winning the trophy for Field Day with the German Academy in second. This was impressive, as the German Academy was the smallest team with only 19 students.
On Friday, the Germany Academy also had a cookout and yesterday they had a fieldtrip to the beautiful Branbury State Park where students were able to swim in a lake surrounded by rolling green mountains and take a hike.
