What the Salamanca Academy did today: This week the students are learning about food and the culinary arts. Monday evening they ventured to the Salamanca Casino and had the chance to try some typical food from Spain that has become common in the culture. This includes: Tortilla de patatas and jamón (spanish ham). Also, they were able to try pinchos, small appetizers enjoyed by the people of Spain at various bars and restaurants. The following day everyone participated in a cooking workshop where they had to prepare a spanish dish and then try their own work. When in Spain it’s definitely important to learn how to make one of several typical dishes of the country. Who wouldn’t? The food is delicious!
