Bastille Day!

Allez les Bleus! It’s Bastille Day!

For those who didn’t see the “BREAKING NEWS” post from earlier this morning, the French Academy emerged victorious in attempt to reassert their Academy-strength.

In a well-executed plot to kidnap and capture the Chinese Academy’s Language Director French Academy students and staff personified their French pride. During the Chinese Academy’s morning assembly, students and staff from the French Academy stormed their building, shouting war cries, such as: “Allez les Bleus!”

After storming the building, one of the REs took the initiative: he walked over to where the Chinese Language Director—Tong Chen—was sitting and, for lack of a more profound way of saying it, kidnapped her. He dragged her from her students into an abysmal mass of French Academy students.

She was then carried out of the building, as the whole French Academy shouted victorious war cries and cheers of French pride.

Once outside, Tong Chen was interrogated by the whole Academy, and then given a list of demands. The demands were translated into Chinese by a French student who, also, speaks Chinese.

Tong Chen had no choice but to give in to the demands of the French Academy—she had to accept defeat. At which point, she was released, without ransom or any other form of negotiation.

After her release, the Academy gathered for a quick cheer right before they went off to classes.

After the morning’s excitement, students split up for their daily set of classes.

Once the day’s classes were completed, students all came together for their afternoon activities. However, for today, there was a twist: for today’s afternoon activities, the staff challenged the students to basketball and volleyball games.

After the games and dinner, students took to their clubs to finish up the day. Afterwards, they retired to their dorms after a busy and victorious day.
