Middlebury Interactive is the academic leader in world language instruction for K-12 students. A joint venture between Middlebury College and K12 Inc., we provide access to superior language programs and prepare students with the skills and cultural understanding to compete in the 21st Century global marketplace.
Middlebury Interactive has taken Middlebury College's renowned world language curriculum, developed and refined over the past 100 years, and adapted it for the digital and K-12 setting. Our courses and programs have flexible implementation options and can be delivered fully online, in blended learning environments and traditional classroom settings. The Middlebury Interactive leadership team delivers a wealth of skill and experience gained from years of dedication to world languages, education and technology. Every team member provides daily inspiration as we work toward our goal of revolutionizing the way students learn languages. The team includes experts in education policy, education technology, finance and business development. Through our partnership with Middlebury College, we also have direct access to leading academic linguists and language professors, working to support our exceptional world language curriculum.
Jane became CEO of Middlebury Interactive Languages in August 2011. As the former Governor of Massachusetts (2001- 2003), after having served as the Lieutenant Governor and also as a Massachusetts State Senator, Jane has shown a continued commitment to excellence in public education. As a three-term State Senator, Jane assisted in crafting the landmark Massachusetts Education Reform Act of 1993, which introduced accountability, high standards and innovation into Massachusetts's public schools. As Governor, she implemented many of these reforms, which proved so successful that the U.S. Department of Education declared it a national model for other states. More
Aline brings a wealth of expertise to Middlebury Interactive Languages as the Associate Vice-President of the Language Schools and Graduate programs of Middlebury College, Vermont. Aline is also the Director of the Middlebury College French School and was the former Director of the Canadian Centre for Studies and Research on Bilingualism and Language Planning (CCERBAL) of the University of Ottawa. Stacey joined Middlebury Interactive in January 2012 after more than 15 years in education technology and public policy. She is responsible for guiding the company's strategic direction and identifying new business partnerships and opportunities. More
